The Dudley House B & B is a 220-year-old home that was built when George Washington was President. The home was built by Danial Dudley after he came home from the Revolutionary War. The house was totally remodeled 25 years ago with all new updates. It retains much of its country cottage charm without being rustic. We bought the home twelve years ago after discovering it on a trip to visit a relative. We were not really looking at the time, but we couldn't let it go. We felt as if we had come home, even though we had never seen the house before. The day we moved in I found out that Danial was my ancestor by marriage and everything made perfect sense. We were home. We have been in business for the past twelve years as The Duck Pond Bed & Breakfast, but decided last year to change the name in honor of the family who built the home and fought for our country's freedom. We are a small B & B and our motto has been "Small enough to make you feel at home." Our past guests seem to feel that we live up to that motto. |
